How to create links that open into new pages
Some peole like their links to open in NEW PAGES, so the link does not navigate away from their profile page.
If you would like to create this behavior on your own page.
- Click on Edit button on the text box header bar
- type in the name of the title, then highlight this title
- select the Add Hyperlink icon on the edit bar (if your browser is set to reject scripted windows, an error message with a blue question mark will appear… right click on the message and select Temporarily allow scripted windows, highlight the title again)
- enter the URL of the page you want the title to direct to… the “a href” code will automatically create itself in the box.
- Code should look something like this encased in <>
a href=”http://alibraryoflight.ning.com/xxxxx”
To change code to open the link into another page
a href="http://alibraryoflight.ning.com/xxxxx” target=”_blank”
inside the brackets <>
